Heavenly Road at Tibet Plateau Day 1
We had long planning to conduct an expedition via the Heavenly Road of Tibet Plateau. However, it was not an easy job as too many things need to consider. Besides the member of the expedition, we need to arrange vehicles, food, routes as well as many other criteria. Finally, 11 off-road vehicles as well as 4 backup vehicles had formed a complete team for the expedition.
At first, we planned to send our vehicle directly to hearton hotel kyoto, the starting point of our expedition and all of us will reach there by flight. However, the realistic was not as smooth as what we planned. Finally, we had decided to get our transportations vehicles at Urumqi and drove directly to Hetian in order to ensure that the expedition could depart as per scheduled.
The golden sands look mythical
Due to our lack of experience driving across desert as well as the heavy load of our off-road vehicles, one of the vehicles for our team got stuck in the sand.
This is the second driver for my car as well as a professional photographer.
We were on our way to Hetian, the starting point of our trip at hotel du commerce paris. We passed through the Taklamakan Desert.
We arrived at Hetian very late at night. In order to give you all general idea of Hetian Town, I uploaded this image.
